I understand that my involvement in my child's education will help his/her achievement, attitude, and behavior. I understand that attending Rising Tide is a choice, and therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities
I WILL:
1 Ensure that my child attends school regularly and is on time.
2 Make sure that my child arrives at school prepared for the day's learning activities.
3 Read the student handbook and support the school's homework, attendance, discipline, and dress code policies.
4 Visit my child's school and participate in school and family related events.
5 Communicate with my child's teachers on a regular basis and attend all scheduled Parent/Teacher conferences.
6 Help my child develop positive attitudes about school.
7 Provide my child with a safe, healthy, and positive home environment.
8 Communicate concerns openly and honestly with my child's teachers.
9 I have read the Rising Tide Handbook and have discussed the issues involved with my child.

I understand the importance of the educational experience for every student and my role as a teacher and model. Therefore, in order to encourage learning at home, at school, and in the community, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities.

3 Address a student's individual needs and encourage individual talents.
4 Provide a safe and positive learning environment for each student.
5 Communicate with all parents regarding their child's progress.

I understand that my education is important. I know that I am responsible for my own success. Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities.

2 Do my best in class and complete my homework on time.
3 Respect myself, my teachers and classmates, and be a cooperative learner.

9 I have read the Rising Tide Handbook and have discussed the issues with my parents and advisor. I understand what is expected of me in terms of Academics, Extracurricular Activities, Social Issues and Behavior. I have carefully read the sections on Expectations for Conduct, Safety, Community Standards, and Sexual Harassment and I understand that Honesty and Consideration for the feelings of others are the most important values of the RTCS Community. I also realize that during my four years at Rising Tide I will be expected to take on more and more responsibility for my own actions, both academically, and socially.
