Dear Rising Tide Families,

Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! The Board of Trustees and I are delighted to say that our new 9th grade, the first class in what will be our new Upper School, is ready to open this Fall, on August 30. Each Fall, for the next three years, we will add another Upper School grade. By the Fall of 2014, Rising Tide will be a grades 5-12 school.

During the summer months, we have been busy preparing our new Upper School building, at 57B Armstrong Road, for the new school year. We have received our occupancy permit from Plymouth and the building is ready to open. Our middle school will remain at 6 Resnik Road. Mr. Michael O'Keefe, Assistant Head of School, is the Upper School Head. Mr. O'Keefe will spend most of his time at the Upper School, but will also maintain a role in the whole school. We have hired a talented 9th grade staff. Courses include English, Math, Social Studies, Science, two Languages, Spanish and Latin, Visual Art, and a rich Electives program. Under the direction of Mr. Tyler Post, 6th grade teacher and Rising Tide's new Athletic Director, Rising Tide will offer boys' and girls' interscholastic sports for Fall, Winter and Spring. Soccer will begin this Fall.

We are excited to welcome our grades 5-9 students and families to Rising Tide.
